Welcome to the Entry Level Driver Training Theory Course
The FMCSA has established this mandatory training course that must be completed and passed before you can take your skills test and obtain your CDL license. The courses can be taken in English, Spanish, or Russian. Choose your desired language by clicking the box on the top right side of the page.

If you are applying to obtain a Class A CDL or Class B CDL for the first time, you must take and pass the Class A or B Theory Course below.
If you are applying to Upgrade from a Class B CDL to a Class A CDL, you must take and pass the Upgrade from Class B to Class A Theory Course below.
After you complete the course you will be able to print your Certificate verifying that you have passed, and the results will be automatically added to the FMCSA to allow you to proceed with your testing.
Verification is only for applicants who have already completed ELDT theory from another provider. The purpose is to verify and link your completed certification so you will be able to test when your Behind-the-Wheel training is finished.
